Helped the Buffalos to their first playoff win in 10 years.

District 3-6A First Team

Coach of the Year

Trovocie Jackson, Burleson Centennial

Centennial went 32-7, its most wins in a season, beating last year’s mark of 24-10. The Spartans also swept the defending Class 5A state champs, Mansfield Timberview, in the regular season.

They went 12-2 in District 5-5A and captured the program’s first district title. Entering the postseason, the Spartans were 0-3 in second round games before reaching the regional tournament for the first time.

The Spartans finished one win from the UIL state tournament.

Jackson was named 5-5A Coach of the Year.
