TCU injury report: Horned Frogs could be without some key offensive pieces
TCU football will likely be without a number of key offensive players in Saturday’s road game at West Virginia.
According to the initial player availability report, Horned Frogs offensive lineman Cade Bennett, wide receiver Ed Small and running back Jeremy Payne are all listed as doubtful.
Freshman wide receiver Jacobe Hayes was also listed as out in the injury report.
Bennett has started all season at left guard, but TCU will now likely turn to Remington Strickland in his place. Small and Payne were two important secondary playmakers, but their injuries could open up the door to more playing time for Major Everhart, Trent Battle and Nate Palmer.
West Virginia quarterback Khalil Wilkins is listed as questionable. He has been splitting time under center with Scotty Fox Jr. since an injury to starter Nicco Marchiol, but Wilkins is the Mountaineers’ leading rusher.
