Injury report: TCU football will be without several key players tonight at Kansas

The TCU football team will be without a number of contributors for tonight’s game at Kansas.

Freshman wide receiver Quentin Johnston is among the notable players who did not make the trip to Lawrence. Johnston has started the last five games and has flashed big-play potential this season. He has 14 catches for 240 yards with one TD so far this season.

Another highly-touted freshman receiver, Savion Williams, is also out. Williams hasn’t recorded a reception this season, but has been used in the return game.

The offensive line has multiple players out with Steve Avila, Austin Myers and Kellton Hollins not making the trip. Avila has started every game this season, emerging as the team’s top center. Myers, who has started at guard and tackle, will be missing his second straight game after starting five of the first six. Hollins started the previous game at West Virginia and has been among the top reserve interior lineman.

TCU’s expected starting O-line will be T.J. Storment at left tackle, John Lanz at left guard, Coy McMillon at center, Blake Hickey at right guard and Andrew Coker at right tackle. Hickey, a senior out of Godley High School, will be making his first start for TCU.

Defensively, defensive tackle Soni Misi is out. Misi has started the past two games. For the season, he has four tackles.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at KU’s Memorial Stadium.
