Daily rain chances are on the horizon for North Texas. Here’s the latest
After a warm week, North Texas will see a couple chances for rain this weekend.
Temperatures have been in the low to mid-90s for most of the week and similar warmth will be felt over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. However, rain chances will also be in the mix.
Isolated to scattered showers and storms are possible the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 19 in the Metroplex as activity slides south from Oklahoma. The NWS said severe weather is unlikely and storms will diminish by this evening.
Sunny skies will be overhead on Saturday, Sept. 20, but daily rain chances begin on Sunday, Sept. 21.
Daily rain chances on the horizon
An active weather patten is to thank and/or blame for the daily rain chances.
The NWS said it will not be a complete washout next week. Instead, most days will see low chances around 20-30%. Cooler temperatures may also be on the way next week behind a cold front.
“There remains a good amount of uncertainty concerning if/when the front will push through the region, which will affect the forecast for the rest of the week,” the NWS wrote on its website.
Here’s a look at how things will look over the next seven days:
- Friday, Sept. 19- 94 degrees
- Saturday, Sept. 20- 94 degrees
