Warm, sunny weather is in store for North Texas. Here’s the weekend forecast

After a rainy week, North Texans will feel the sun on their face this weekend.

Hot and humid conditions are expected on Friday, June 13, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Temperatures will be in the low 90s, with heat index values near 100 degrees.

Similar weather is in store for Saturday, June 14, and Sunday, June 15. Daily highs will be in the low 90s, with overnight lows in the upper 70s.

Storms could develop in Oklahoma and move near the Red River on both Saturday and Sunday night. The NWS said it’s still uncertain if these storms will develop, and if they do, whether storms will make it to the Metroplex.

Sunshine will continue next week

Heading into next week, North Texans can expect warm and sunny weather to continue.

Temperatures will be in the mid-90s for much of next week, with sunny skies overhead, according to the NWS. There’s a 20% chance of storms on Wednesday, June 18.

Here’s a look at what to expect over the next week:

  • Friday, June 13- 91 degrees
  • Saturday, June 14- 93 degrees
  • Sunday, June 15- 94 degrees
  • Monday, June 16- 95 degrees
  • Tuesday, June 17- 95 degrees
  • Wednesday, June 18- 96 degrees
  • Thursday, June 19- 94 degrees
