Fort Worth could reach 90 degrees this weekend. Here’s a look at the forecast

Temperatures could warm up to the 90s this weekend in North Texas.

Conditions have been sunny and warm for much of the week, and that will continue over the weekend and into next week, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.

Daily highs will be in the low to mid-80s on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12. By Sunday, April 13, temperatures will flirt with the low 90s.

If North Texas hit 90 degrees Sunday, it would be the second time this year. Previously, 90 degrees was recorded on March 25, according to NWS climate data.

Sunny and warm conditions to continue next week

After the sunny and warm weekend, temperatures will be similar heading into next week.

Daily highs on Monday, April 14, will be in the low 80s and drop into upper 70s on Tuesday, April 15, following a cold front. The reprieve will be brief as temperatures will warm back up to mid to upper 80s on Wednesday, April 16, and Thursday, April 17.

Low rain chances are in the mix for the Metroplex over the latter half of next week. Exact timing and locations of these storms remain uncertain at this time, according to the NWS.

Here’s a look at daily highs for the next week:

  • Friday, April 11- 80 degrees
  • Saturday, April 12- 83 degrees
  • Sunday, April 13- 91 degrees
  • Monday, April 14- 83 degrees
  • Tuesday, April 15- 77 degrees
  • Wednesday, April 16- 82 degrees
  • Thursday, April 17- 87 degrees
