Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is going to remember his Texas trip well.

Over the weekend, the former Conservative Party leader was pecked by an ostrich at a drive-thru wildlife park. In a video posted by his wife Carrie, Johnson is seen stopping his vehicle by an awaiting ostrich.

The ostrich moves closer to the vehicle and sticks its head through the rolled down window and gives Johnson a peck. Johnson immediately lets out an expletive and quickly drives past the animal.

In the Instagram post, Carrie Johnson said the moment was “too funny not to share.” See the video below.

While it’s unclear what wildlife park the Johnson family were at, there’s a few reports tying them to the Granbury and Glen Rose area.

Over the weekend, Johnson was spotted at Stumpy’s Lakeside Grill in Granbury, where he took a picture with a fellow patron. The restaurant confirmed this in a Facebook post.

“We are so honored to have him as our guest!!” the restaurant posted April 5.

In addition to Granbury, other social media posts showed the Johnson family at Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, according to the Associated Press.

Johnson served as Prime Minister from 2019 to 2022. He also served as Conservative Party leader during that same time.

Nowadays, Johnson is a columnist for the Daily Mail and released his memoir “Unleashed” last fall.
