Strong winds, ‘very large hail’ possible in Fort Worth. See when storms arrive

Another round of severe weather is expected in North Texas on Wednesday.

Scattered thunderstorms will move east across the region into the early afternoon, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. A few strong storms, capable of producing hail and strong winds, will be possible in this window.

Storms will return in the Metroplex late Wednesday into early Thursday, April 3. Damaging winds and “very large hail” are the main threats with the overnight storms.

Timing for these storms will be from 1 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday.

Storms to return late Thursday into early Friday

The next round of severe weather returns to North Texas late Thursday into Friday.

Storms will be active overnight, with all modes of severe weather possible, the NWS said. Showers and thunderstorms are expected for much of Friday and overnight into Saturday, April 5.

There’s an increasing threat for flash flooding from Thursday through Saturday, due to the multiple rounds of heavy rain. Storms are expected to exit the region late Saturday.
