Temperatures will climb into the 80s this week in Fort Worth. Is that a record?

North Texas will get a taste of springlike weather this week.

Much of the region will see sunny skies and temperatures above normal, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. This week will also stay relatively dry compared to the surge of rainfall that fell last week.

Temperatures for the week will be in upper 70s to low 80s everyday, which is about 20 degrees above normal.

The normal maximum for temperatures from Feb. 3-7 is 59 degrees, according to NWS climate data.

  • Projected: 81 degrees
  • Record: 84 degrees in 1911

Tuesday, Feb. 4

  • Projected: 80 degrees
  • Record: 82 degrees in 2008

Wednesday, Feb. 5

  • Projected: 81 degrees
  • Record: 85 degrees in 1942

Thursday, Feb. 6

  • Projected: 80 degrees
  • Record: 83 degrees in 1925

Friday, Feb. 7

  • Projected: 76 degrees
  • Record: 88 degrees in 1932
