Do you need an umbrella this weekend? Here’s what the Dallas-Fort Worth forecast says

Anyone with weekend plans in Dallas-Fort Worth may want to bring an umbrella.

After midweek showers, rain returns to the forecast for much of the weekend, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Scattered showers will arrive in the region by Friday evening, Dec. 6.

The highest chances for rain this weekend will be in the afternoon and evening hours on Saturday, Dec. 7. By early Sunday, Dec. 8, rain will begin moving east out of the region.

No severe weather is expected this weekend, according to the NWS. Temperatures over the next few days will range from low 50s to low 60s.

Warm to cool weather expected next week

After a rainy weekend, temperatures will warm-up to around 70 degrees on Monday, Dec. 9.

However, the warm weather will be short-lived as a cold front will arrive in the region by Monday evening, according to the NWS. Temperatures are expected to dip into the mid-50s by midweek.

Here’s a look at the next seven days of temperatures in Dallas-Fort Worth:

  • Friday, Dec. 6- 50 degrees
  • Saturday, Dec. 7- 50 degrees
  • Sunday, Dec. 8- 60 degrees
  • Monday, Dec. 9- 69 degrees
  • Tuesday, Dec. 10- 55 degrees
  • Wednesday, Dec. 11- 56 degrees
  • Thursday, Dec. 12- 57 degrees
