Is it possible that hail and rain could spoil your weekend? See what the DFW forecast says
The next few days in Dallas-Fort Worth are going to be cool and stormy.
Many North Texans woke up to rain on Thursday, Nov. 7, which is going to stick around throughout the day, said Patricia Sánchez, meteorologist at the National Weather Service Fort Worth office.
Scattered showers and storms are going to continue early Thursday, with thunderstorms developing west of Interstate 35 in the afternoon. The main threats with Thursday’s storms are rain and small hail.
Stormy weekend ahead for Dallas-Fort Worth
Thursday’s cloudy and stormy weather will continue into Friday, Nov. 8.
Friday will kick off with rain showers, followed by scattered storms in the afternoon and evening, Sánchez said. The main threats for the day will be strong winds and heavy rain.
Showers and storms will stick around overnight Friday into Saturday morning, Nov. 9. Storms are expected to move out of the region by midday Saturday, leading to a cool and dry weekend, Sánchez said.
From Thursday to Saturday, rainfall totals could be between 1 to 2 inches.
Heavy rain could cause isolated flash flooding in areas that have already experienced large swaths of precipitation this week, Sánchez said.
