Whether you’re a fan of the route options at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport or you love flying Southwest out of Dallas Love Field, it’s no secret that North Texans have their preference when it comes to our two major airports.

And now, a new ranking from J..D. Power says that both airports are some of the top-ranking in the country for their size.

The 2025 J.D. Power North America Airport Satisfaction Survey is based on 30,439 surveys from U.S. or Canadian residents who traveled through at least one U.S. or Canadian airport between July 2024 and July 2025. The study ranks mega-, large- and medium-sized airports on a 1,000-point scale using the following seven factors: ease of travel through the airport; level of trust with the airport; terminal facilities; airport staff; departure/to airport experience, food, beverage and retail; and arrival/from airport experience.

The biggest change to the survey over the years is in the food and beverage category, J.D. Power’s Senior Managing Director of Travel, Hospitality, Retail and Customer Service Michael Taylor told Forbes in an interview.

“We’ve gone from bare bones coffee and quick service restaurants to micro-branded coffee and local gourmet offerings at many airports across North America,” Taylor told Forbes.

DFW Airport is classified as a mega-sized airport, since it serves 33 million or more passengers per year. Love Field is classified as a large-sized airport, since it serves 10 to 32.9 million passengers per year.

Here’s where each airport ranked on their respective lists.
