Dallas-Fort Worth has the most wealthy suburbs in Texas, according to a new study from GOBankingRates.

The study pulled Texas cities with at least 5,000 households and ranked the top 20 based on household income. These top 20 suburbs range in starting income from $165,000 to $410,000 per year. All suburbs were found in either DFW, the Houston-Woodlands or Austin-Georgetown areas.

Of the 20 cities ranked, DFW is home to more than half of the suburbs, at 11. Houston ranks second for the most-ranked, with six on the list, and Austin rounds out the list with three suburbs.

The Metroplex’s economy is the largest out of all the cities in the state at $709 billion, according to the 2022 Texas comptroller’s report. By this metric, DFW’s wealth outdoes other countries like Poland, Ukraine and Argentina.

Let’s take a look at where these wealthy suburbs are located.
