Pedestrian hit and killed in east Fort Worth crash, police say

Police are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian Wednesday, July 8, in east Fort Worth.

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a driver Wednesday in east Fort Worth, police said.

Officers responded to the accident near the 7900 block of Ederville Road and Aldra Drive.

According to police, the driver tried to avoid the pedestrian in the road but was unable to. The driver stayed at the scene.

The injured pedestrian was taken to a local hospital but later died from their injuries. The person will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Traffic Investigation Unit is looking into the cause of the fatal crash.
