Robbers steal safe from Fort Worth hotel after restraining employee, police say
Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Wednesday morning in a hotel near downtown Fort Worth.
Around 15 police units were dispatched to the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 912 Northton St., starting about 5:25 a.m. Someone reported a man had a gun, according to the 911 call sheet.
The suspects encountered an employee and restrained his feet, police said. They then took a safe and left the hotel.
The employee didn’t report any injuries, according to police. Authorities didn’t say what was inside the stolen safe.
Detectives from the Robbery Unit are investigating the incident. No arrests have been announced.
