A boy accidentally shot himself late on Tuesday in south Fort Worth, according to police.

The child shot himself about 10:45 p.m. in the 3600 block of North Crowley Cleburne Road, according to Officer Cynthia Wood, a Fort Worth police spokesperson. A 911 caller reported that the shooting occurred at a house.

The boy, whose age police did not release, was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The police investigation of the self-inflicted shooting is incomplete.
