1 person killed, another hospitalized after wrong-way crash in Fort Worth Sunday

One person was killed and another was hospitalized after a wrong-way crash in a second deadly crash in Fort Worth early Sunday, police said.

Officers responded to a call reporting a person driving the wrong-way on State Highway 121 near Sylvania Avenue exit around 4:30 a.m., police said in a statement.

When officers arrived they found two vehicles had crashed. One driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to a hospital for treatment. Their condition was not immediately available, according to police.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the person who died after next of kin have been notified.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

In a separate crash about 2 a.m. a man inspecting his car for minor damages was fatally struck by a vehicle on Interstate 35 W, according to police.
