Labor Day is on Monday, Sept. 1, this year. If you have the day off, it’s best to know what will be open, so you can celebrate accordingly.

Labor Day takes place every year on the first Monday of September. The holiday is to celebrate the dedication of American workers. However, between first responders and grocery store employees, not every American can have the day off.

For those who do have a three-day weekend, it doubles as a last chance to squeeze in some summer fun. The weekend leading up to Labor Day has a chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Luckily for Fort Worth, the National Weather Service does predict a mostly sunny Labor Day.

So whether you plan to celebrate indoors in a shopping mall or grilling on your barbecue, here’s what Fort Worth stores are open during the holiday.
