From hospital rooms to schools and clinics, nurses work long shifts, juggle heavy workloads and still manage to care with heart.

That’s why National Nurses Week, happening May 6 through May 12, exists: to celebrate their impact and thank them for everything they do.

The week kicks off with National Nurses Day on May 6 and wraps on May 12, which also happens to be Florence Nightingale’s birthday (AKA the pioneer of modern nursing).

To mark the occasion, restaurants, brands and businesses across the country are rolling out freebies and deals to show their appreciation.

Here’s a breakdown of the best offers happening this week.
