Billy Bob’s Texas appears in ‘Yellowstone’ finale. Here’s what to know about Fort Worth venue
Spoiler alert for “Yellowstone” season 5 episode 14: “Life Is a Promise”
A lot happened in the season five finale of “Yellowstone,” including a trip to a Fort Worth landmark.
The Star-Telegram recapped the big episode that saw many of the show’s storylines wrap up, potentially for good. While a sixth season of “Yellowstone” is uncertain, new reports suggest that a Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler spinoff is in the works.
About an hour and six minutes into the finale, Ryan (Ian Bohen) leaves Dutton Ranch and heads to Texas to catch up with his lost love and aspiring country singer Abby (Lainey Wilson).
The venue Abby is performing at may look familiar to Fort Worthians: It’s Billy Bob’s Texas.
What is Billy Bob’s Texas?
Billy Bob’s, also known as the “World’s Largest Honky Tonk,” opened its doors in 1981 in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

In the early 1940s, the building was used an airplane factory during World War II. By the 1950s, the building became a department store, according to Billy Bob’s.
Finally on April 1, 1981, the building opened as a Billy Bob’s Texas.
