See over a million holiday lights at this Fort Worth event. Here’s how to get tickets

Over a million holiday lights are illuminating the Fort Worth Botanic Garden this winter.

For a third consecutive year, Lightscape is lighting up the 120-acre Fort Worth campus until Jan. 5, 2025. The over one mile long walking trail features Christmas lights and art installations set to holiday music.

Fort Worth is the only city in Texas hosting a Lightscape installation this year. Overall, 80% of this year’s trail is new and reimagined, including 20 custom-designed installations.

“It is our great honor to serve as the host city for the only Lightscape in the state of Texas in 2024,” said Patrick Newman, Fort Worth Botanic Garden CEO and president, in a press release.

New this year at Lightscape is a Texas section complete with an illuminated Texas flag.

Other Texas highlights include giant nutcracker dolls, Christmas cacti and a field of illuminated bluebonnets. A few returning, yet reimagined, fan-favorite installations are back this year, the company said.

The winter cathedral is a 110-foot-long installation illuminated by tens of thousands of LED light globes. The star tree and sea of light, are a field of 2,000 color-changing lights leading to a 40-foot illuminated Christmas tree.

Along with the illuminated trail, guests will find plenty of holiday mainstays at Lightscape.

Fire pits are around the area, along with s’more roasting, hot cocoa and holiday music. Santa Claus is also stopping by on select evenings for visits and photo opportunities.

Lightscape ticketing has been revamped this year to include reduced regular pricing and value nights. Tickets are on sale now at the following levels:

Value nights

  • When: Jan. 2-5
  • FWBG member pricing: Adult $18, $12 Child
  • Non-member pricing: Adult $18, $12 Child

Regular prices

  • When: Dec. 5, Dec. 8, Dec. 11-12, Dec. 15-19, Dec. 31, Jan. 1
  • FWBG member pricing: Adult $18, $12 Child
  • Non-member pricing: Adult $26, $16 Child

Peak prices

  • When: Dec. 6-7, Dec. 13-14, Dec. 20-24, Dec. 26-30
  • FWBG member pricing: Adult $22, $16 Child
  • Non-member pricing: Adult $30, $20 Child

Parking passes are also on sale.

Culture Creative is the creative producer behind Lightscape, with Sony Music and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden credited as producers.

“From the moment guests enter Lightscape, they will be whisked away into a realm of enchantment and amazement, surrounded by dazzling light installations thoughtfully integrated with our garden’s beauty,” Newman said. “Every tree, plant, and path will be bathed in a harmonious blend of lights and music, creating a mesmerizing ambiance never experienced before.”

Lightscape is open until Jan. 5, 2025 at 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd.
