This new Martin House seltzer doesn’t have alcohol — but it does have delta-9 THC
Martin House Brewing Company and Power BioPharms have teamed up to produce a seltzer called Power House that contains hemp-derived delta-9 THC.
“It’s a nonalcoholic product that’s got 5 milligrams of delta-9 THC,” Martin House owner Cody Martin said. It is the first such seltzer made in Fort Worth, containing the chemical in marijuana that gets you high.
The seltzer comes in two flavors: strawberry and lemon lime.
“We tried to make it something that dosage-wise was something you consume similar to alcohol, like over a couple of drinks to kind of get the desired effect,” said Colt Power, owner of Power BioPharms, which is based in Euless. “It’s really kind of just like a like a sparkling water. We don’t taste the hemp in it.”
Power House is available at Thrive Apothecary, Martin House and Power BioPharms website for those 21 or older.
After the passing of House BIll 1325 in Texas, delta-9 products that do not exceed 0.3 percent were made legal in the state.
According to the Power BioPharms website, Power House has less than 0.3 percent delta-9 THC.
