North Texas man identified as victim in fatal weekend crash on Fort Worth highway

A North Texas man has been identified as a victim in a weekend fatal accident in east Fort Worth involving multiple vehicles, according to officials at the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

The man was identified as Armando Salgado, 61, according to the medical examiner’s website on Thursday. He died from multiple blunt-force injuries and his death was ruled an accident.

Salgado, who has had home addresses in Euless and Dallas, was listed as a driver in one of six vehicles involved in the crash in the 14,900 block of Texas 183 in far east Fort Worth, according to Tarrant County and online records.

Initially, Fort Worth police reported that a driver involved in the fatal wreck had fled the scene, but authorities said Thursday that no motorist left the scene.

The crash occurred at 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Texas 183 in Fort Worth.

Officers reported six vehicles including an 18-wheeler were involved in the wreck.

Police did not release any other details on the crash.
