A 53-year-old resident of North Richland Hills was arrested and faces multiple charges after a shooting Sunday night inside The Thirsty Turtle bar.

North Richland Hills police said David Callum became agitated and fired multiple shots inside the bar, at 5344 Rufe Snow Drive, just after 10 p.m. on Sept 28.

Callum had thought another patron was looking at him while he was watching Sunday night’s Dallas Cowboys game, police said. An argument ensued, and police said that’s when the suspect pulled out a gun.

There were no injuries, and when officers arrived customers had subdued the suspect, police said in a news release.

Callum has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a weapon where prohibited, according to police. He was held at the North Richland Hills Joint Detention Center immediately following the shooting and will be transferred to the Tarrant County Jail following a scheduled appearance before a judge Tuesday.
