27-year-old woman arrested after fatally stabbing Fort Worth man, police say

A man was stabbed to death at his home in north Fort Worth on Saturday night and a woman has been arrested, police said.

The suspect, 27-year-old Keller Campbell, was booked into the city jail and faces a murder charge, according to a police report.

Officers responded to the 2100 block of Grace Avenue about 10 p.m. after a 911 caller stated that a man had been stabbed, Fort Worth police sad.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found that 25-year-old Gabriel Melendez had been stabbed in his chest. Melendez died at the scene, police said.

Detectives determined that prior to the killing, Campbell and Melendez became involved in an argument at their house. Campbell grabbed a frying pan and then a knife and stabbed Melendez at least one time, police said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy and determine the official cause and manner of death.

Homicide detectives are investigating the stabbing, police said.

Campbell was booked into the Tarrant County Jail on Monday. Her bond has not been set.
