29-year-old murder suspect arrested in Fort Worth apartment complex shooting death

A North Richland Hills man who was booked into jail Tuesday is accused of being involved in the July shooting death of a man at a Fort Worth apartment complex.

Jamall Marquise Page, 29, faces a charge of murder in the slaying of 35-year-old Marcus Samuels on July 3 in Fort Worth.

Page was booked into the Fort Worth Jail just before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to jail records.

Samuels died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to a ruling by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Fort Worth police have not released any information on a motive for the shooting.

Initially, Fort Worth police were dispatched to John Peter Smith Hospital shortly before 12:15 a.m. on July 3 in reference to someone at the hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim, later identified as Marcus Samuels, had been driven to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Samuels later died at the hospital.

A witness who had driven Samuels to the hospital directed police to the shooting scene at the Red Oak Apartments in the 6300 block of Woodway Drive.
