Woman shot, killed in drive-by shooting in Fort Worth neighborhood, police say
A woman was shot and killed late Sunday during a drive-by shooting in southwest Fort Worth, police said.
The woman has been identified as Shonntavia Cunningham, 27, of Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website on Monday.
No other injuries were reported in the shooting.
Fort Worth police responded to the shooting call shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of Plymouth Ave.
A caller said she had been shot, according to a police call log.
When they arrived, police found the woman with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital, where she died.
Fort Worth police said the incident appeared to have been a drive-by shooting.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
