Police release surveillance video of assailant in far east Fort Worth shooting, robbery

Police on Tuesday released video of an assailant and vehicle connected to a shooting and robbery on March 8 in far east Fort Worth.

A 23-year-old man was shot in his car by one of four passengers, according to a Fort Worth police report.

The victim met the assailants at a gas station. He was shot about 12:30 a.m. in the 12000 block of Chinaberry Court, a neighborhood just outside Euless. The victim was inside a car with three women and possibly another man when someone inside the car shot him, police have said.

The victim escaped the car and called police. He was taken to a hospital and had non-life-threatening injuries, police have said.

The shooting may have been related to drugs, police have said.

A pistol, vehicle keys, a cellphone and $600 in cash were stolen from the victim, according to the police report.

Someone who recognizes the assailant in the video should call a detective at 817-392-4380, police said.
