Man shot inside car by passenger, escapes to call cops in east Fort Worth, police say
A man was shot in his car by one of four passengers, but managed to escape after being shot in the leg several times in far east Fort Worth, Fort Worth police said.
At about 12:31 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a shooting call in the 12000 block of Chinaberry Court, a neighborhood just outside Euless.
A man was inside a car with three women and possibly another man when someone inside the car started shooting at him, Fort Worth Officer Jimmy Pollozani said.
The man was hit in the leg several times but escaped the car to call police. The shooting might have been drug-related, Pollozani said.
The victim was taken to a hospital and had non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects had not been found Sunday, and robbery detectives were investigating.
