United States Marshals arrested a 31-year-old woman in Louisiana in connection with the stabbing death of a man in Arlington, Arlington police said.

Leah Franklin, 31, was charged with murder Saturday, police said in a press release. Antonio Merle, 30, was stabbed to death about 2:30 a.m. Jan. 11 in the 5700 block of Prescott Drive, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Franklin was arrested in Shreveport and is awaiting extradition from Shreveport jail to Tarrant County.

Detectives had quickly identified Franklin as the only suspect in Merle’s death, Arlington police said.
