Two men shot on Wilbarger Street block where woman was slain in August, authorities say

Two men in a vehicle were shot Saturday in east Fort Worth, police said.

The victims were fired upon about 11 a.m. in the 4200 block of Wilbarger Street by assailants in a sport utility vehicle, police said.

Both victims were expected to survive, police said. They were taken to a hospital in a private vehicle.

Police had not announced an arrest Saturday night.

A 55-year-old woman was shot to death on the same block on Aug. 16.

A shirtless man bolted from a convenience store and opened fire with another assailant at a vehicle parked nearby. The victim was standing near the store between the car and the shirtless suspect, police have said.
