The body of a woman who has been missing since early February was found in Mountain Creek Lake last week, according to reports.

Weltzin Garcia, 26, and her boyfriend, Alfonso Hernandez, 28, were reported missing by family members. A day later, Hernandez’s vehicle was found near White Rock Lake in Dallas.

Hernandez’s body was found in White Rock Lake in Dallas in mid-February. Garcia’s body was recovered 22 miles west in Mountain Creek Lake, just south of Grand Prairie.

A determination on the cause of death for both Hernandez and Garcia is still pending.

The couple had two young children together.

Days before the couple went missing, police issued an arrest warrant charging Hernandez with assaulting Garcia, police confirmed.
