Four of 18 coronavirus patients in Collin County have recovered
Collin County has confirmed three more cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 18.
Two of the patients are hospitalized and 11 are in home isolation. Four patients have fully recovered.
In addition, Collin County has identified a 58-year-old Melissa man with an underlying medical condition has tested positive while traveling out of state. He’ll remain out-of-state in self-isolation until cleared to travel. Local health officials are investigating whether any high-risk local contacts have been exposed.
As of Thursday evening, Dallas County currently has 55 confirmed cases. Tarrant County has 19. Denton County has nine.
The three new cases are not travel-related or connected to other reported cases in the county. They include a 37-year-old McKinney woman, a 46-year-old Allen man, and a 42-year-old Plano woman.
All three have underlying health conditions. The Allen man is currently hospitalized. The other two are in self-isolation at home.
The county is currently monitoring 79 people for potential symptoms, up five from Thursday. There has been one confirmed COVID-19-related death in the county.
Also, a 57-year-old Richardson man is in home isolation after testing positive. The man has no underlying health conditions, and authorities say he has no known contacts to other confirmed cases.
