Crate & Barrel is returning to Southlake Town Square. Here’s when
Southlake Town Square’s latest addition just got an opening date.
Crate & Barrel’s new, full-line store opens on June 25 at 10 a.m. in the retail space at 321 State St., in the space formerly home to the Market by Macy’s store in Southlake Town Square.
The home furniture and decor retailer previously had a Tabletop Crate and Barrel store location at the open-air shopping center, but it closed back in 2011.
“The new Southlake store is designed to provide ease and inspiration to every customer visit,” according to a statement from the company. “The format of this new store allows for a personalized shopping experience which is supported by in-store experts that deliver Crate & Barrel’s best-in-class services.”
According to the news release, the services customers can receive include:
- Floral Arrangements: The store offers an extensive botanical shop and with a large assortment of both faux and dried botanicals for DIY arrangements or on-site styling help from an expert.
- The Design Desk: The retailer offers free design and trade services including floor planning tools with the assistance of an expert and industry technology.
- Crate & Barrel Trade Program: the store also offers more home renovation products for clients who are looking for everything from bathroom vanities to dinnerware and entertaining options for restaurant trade.
- Gift Registry: Customers who are celebrating special occasions can use the gift registry for more events and can utilize personalized service appointments.
Crate and Barrel and its other retail business, CB2, employ around 7,500 associates across its 100 stores. The retailer has two locations in Dallas, including an outlet, and one store in Plano. The Southlake location will be the third standard store in North Texas.

Mayor Shawn McCaskill previously posted on social media post about the return of the store.
“A $3 million construction and remodel project will start early in the new year,” McCaskill wrote on Facebook in October 2025. ”Great work by Kite Realty to get Crate & Barrel in this space!”
In February, Jason Kasal, vice president and senior leasing director at Kite Realty Group, a real estate investment trust which owns and operates Southlake Town Square, among more than a dozen other shopping centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and about 200 shopping centers nationwide, said business in the area is growing.
“We’re seeing some off-the-charts numbers in terms of sales,” Kasal told the Star-Telegram. “There’s now multiple and multiple retailers that their sales are so strong that they might be store number four in their chain in the country, or store number seven in their chain in the country out of maybe 200 stores.”
On Running, a Swiss performance running brand with its flagship store in New York, is also expected to open in Southlake Town Square later this year.
Southlake Town Square has 130 acres of mixed-use space, with more than 135 specialty retail shops and restaurants. The outdoor complex has seen several new tenants announced or opening, Ascension Coffee Roastery slated to open sometime in August and Rothy’s, which recently opened near Vuori and across from Tecovas.
