Running shoe company to open its first Tarrant Co. store in Southlake Town Square
ON Running, a Swiss performance running brand with its flagship store in New York, is expected to open in Southlake Town Square later this year.
The Southlake store will be the first in Tarrant County for the company. It will be in a 6,000-square-foot space at 415 Grand Ave. East, between the Alo and Sunglass Hut.
The brand can also be found at the Fort Worth Running Co., a retailer at 3000 South Hulen St., Suite 158.
Athlete and co-founder Olivier Bernhard came up with the idea of shoes that feel like running on a cloud and uses Swiss-engineered technology called CloudTec to produce that feel.
“Southlake Town Square continues to attract best-in-class brands that align with the lifestyle of our community,” said Jason Kasal, vice president and senior leasing director of Kite Realty Group, in a news release.
“This latest group of retailers will be met with eager shoppers who enjoy the biggest names in high-quality retail and dining experiences, set amid the charming, timeless character that defines Southlake Town Square,” Kasal said. “We are excited to introduce concepts that will resonate with both longtime visitors and new guests alike.”
Southlake Town Square has 130 acres of mixed-use space, with more than 135 specialty retail shops and restaurants. The outdoor complex has seen several new tenants announced or opening, including Crate & Barrel which is expected to open early July, Ascension Coffee Roastery slated to open sometime in August and Rothy’s, which recently opened near Vuori and across from Tecovas.
