American Airlines adds more routes out of DFW for Hawaii, others this winter
American Airlines announced new flight routes out of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport for the winter season.
Starting in November, just in time for the holidays, the Fort Worth-based airline will start flying new routes to Cancun, Mexico (CUN) and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ). American will also add additional routes to Hawaii, Europe and South America.
American operates from all five terminals at DFW Airport. The airline offers more than 240 worldwide destinations for travelers to choose from, making them the largest operating airline at the airport.

The Fort Worth-based airline plans to fly 270 routes daily, to popular beach destinations during the North Texas winter. Here’s where you can fly to escape the cold.
American Airlines adds additional routes to Hawaii, Europe and South America
American offers the most amount of daily flights between the U.S. and South America than any other airline. In addition to flights to our southern neighbor, the airline will offer:
Daily service from DFW to Kona, Hawaii (KOA) starting Nov. 20
A second daily service from DFW to Kahului, Hawaii (OGG), also starting Nov. 20
Up to 10 weekly flights from DFW to Sao Paulo, Brazil (GRU), starting Dec. 3
Summer service flights to Dublin, Ireland (DUB) are available through Jan. 6
American Airlines also recently added daily summer service flights from DFW to Barcelona, Spain (BCN) that began on March 30, as well as additional daily services to Asia to Tokyo, Japan Haneda (HND); Tokyo Narita (NRT); and Shanghai, China (PVG).
