Man arrested, accused of shooting Tarrant store employee to death in surgical mask
The man accused of shooting and killing a convenience store clerk during a robbery has been arrested on a capital murder charge, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.
Christoper Turner, 44, allegedly wore a surgical mask and one glove when he shot Anwar Ali, 62, sometime around 6:15 a.m. on March 27. The incident occurred at the Super Big Country Mart in the 4500 block of East FM 1187, which is in an unincorporated area of the county, according to the sheriff’s office.
Ali, a Euless resident, had opened the store a few minutes before he was shot. His body was found in a bathroom of the convenience store about an hour after he was shot, the sheriff’s office said.
A capital murder warrant was issued for Turner on Thursday.
Another individual who was in the store before the shooting was arrested on Tuesday. Joseph Allen, 28, was booked into jail on suspicion of capital murder.
The sheriff’s office announced Turner’s arrest in a Facebook post Friday evening and reported “all of the individuals involved in the robbery and murder last week are in custody.”
