Resy says these Fort Worth restaurants are where you’ll ‘want to eat right now’

The age-old weekend question is “Where should we eat?” It feels like North Texans have an overwhelming amount of options.

We often refer to OpenTable’s most-booked monthly guides or Bud Kennedy’s restaurant roundup suggestions. But here’s another perspective to help you narrow down where to eat, from Resy.

The online reservations app recently released its Dallas-Fort Worth “Hit List” of 20 restaurant suggestions for the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Let’s dig in.

Where to eat in Fort Worth right now

Partenope, in Dallas, ranked No. 1 on Resy’s Hit List. However, Fort Worth is getting its own Partenope soon at 2949 Crockett St. in the old Si Tapas location. This pizzeria is known for its award-winning Neapolitan pizza. Partenope comes from owner Dino Santonicola, who worked as an executive chef at both Cane Rosso and Zoli’s.

Its Fort Worth opening date was planned for early 2026, but check Partenope’s website or its social media pages for updates.

The first true Fort Worth shoutout was at No. 4, for Dos Mares and its fine-dining seafood sourced from coastal Pacific regions and the Gulf. This restaurant comes from the owners of Don Artemio, an award-winning Mexican restaurant next door. Both are located off West Seventh Street.

Next, at No. 5 is Tinie’s Interior Mexican Cuisine in Near Southside. Its menu was recently revamped by a celebrity chef from TV’s “Top Chef Mexico.” The rebrand was overseen by Don Artemio co-founder Adrian Burciaga.

Between Dos Mares and Tinie’s, Don Artemio produces some Fort Worth restaurant superstars.

Arlington’s Smoke‘N Ash BBQ was also mentioned on Resy’s list, at No. 16. This spot has made the Texas Michelin-recommended list in both 2024 and 2025. They are known for their Ethiopian twist on Texas barbecue.

Piatello Kitchen, in the Waterside Shopping Center by Clearfork, has a nice large patio to enjoy house-made pastas, pizzas and $5 to $8 happy hour cocktails. Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
