Waffle House plans a new restaurant in a fast-growing section of Fort Worth

One of the fastest growing parts of Fort Worth is getting its first Waffle House.

The all-day breakfast chain famous for its scattered, smothered and covered hashbrowns plans to open a new location on Brewer Boulevard in southwest Fort Worth, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The exact location was not immediately clear, but Brewer Boulevard intersects with McPherson Boulevard on the west side of Chisholm Trail Parkway. A new Target is under construction near that intersection.

Brewer Boulevard is just minutes from the growing retail area — the Shops at Chisholm Trail Ranch — which boasts retailers like Ross, Old Navy, Ulta Beauty, Bath & Body Works and more.

H-E-B purchased land at the northeast corner of Chisholm Trail Parkway and McPherson Boulevard in 2023, though the company has not yet announced plans to build on the property.

Construction on the 1,840 square-foot Waffle House is expected to begin in February 2027 and finish that August, according to records. The estimated cost for the restaurant is $300,000, per the filing.

Southwestern Fort Worth doesn’t have a Waffle House. The nearest locations are in Benbrook, Burleson and Forest Hill.

This will be the sixth Waffle House in Fort Worth, and one of many in the larger North Texas area.

Waffle House has been serving up breakfast since 1955 and is headquartered in Norcross, Georgia. The chain has more than 2,000 locations across the South, with over 400 in Georgia and around 130 in Texas.
