It’s been a long wait, but the time has finally come — it’s Girl Scout cookie season.

Girl Scouts of the USA announced Tuesday that cookie season begins this week. The annual fundraiser gives troops the opportunity to sell boxes for their troop and develop life skills like goal-setting, decision-making, money management and business ethics.

In total, nine different cookies are available in North Texas this year, including a new flavor.

“Girl Scout Cookie season is always a moment of joy and tradition, and this year promises to be incredibly exciting,” said Wendy Lou, who oversees the Girl Scouts of the USA cookie program. “We’re thrilled to introduce the new, delicious Exploremores cookie to the iconic cookie lineup people know and love. With every purchase, consumers directly support local Girl Scouts’ abilities to explore more opportunities in STEM, the outdoors and more.”

In North Texas, cookie sales begin Friday, Jan. 9, and last until March 1. The Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains represents the region and has several troops in Fort Worth.

Here’s what to know about finding the limited-time treats this year.

What Girl Scout cookies are available this year?

Exploremores is the new cookie flavor.

The rocky road ice cream-inspired sandwich cookie is filled with “delicious flavors of chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond–flavored crème,” according the organization.

In addition to Exploremores, here are the other cookies available this year:

  • Adventurefuls: Indulgent brownie-inspired cookies topped with caramel flavored crème with a hint of sea salt.
  • Caramel Chocolate Chip: Chewy cookies with rich caramel, semisweet chocolate chips, and a hint of sea salt.
  • Caramel deLites or Samoas: Crisp cookies with caramel, coconut and chocolaty stripes.
  • Peanut Butter Sandwich or Do-si-dos: Crunchy oatmeal sandwich cookies with peanut butter filling.
  • Lemonades: Savory, refreshing shortbread cookies topped with a tangy lemon-flavored icing.
  • Peanut Butter Patties or Tagalongs: Crispy cookies layered with peanut butter and covered with a chocolaty coating.
  • Thin Mints: Crisp, chocolate cookies dipped in a delicious mint chocolaty coating.
  • Trefoils: Iconic shortbread cookies inspired by the original Girl Scout Cookie recipe.

All cookies are Kosher and Halal certified. The Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies are gluten-free.

The Toast-yay! and Girl Scout S’mores cookies were retired after the 2025 season.

Where can you buy Girl Scout Cookies?

Girl Scout cookies can be found at local booths or through a Girl Scout that you know.

To find a booth near you, visit the Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains website and type your ZIP code into the “Find Cookies” search function. You can also often run into Scouts standing in front of grocery stores selling boxes for $6 a pop.

For those looking to give back, the Cookies for Heroes programs allows folks to purchase cookies for Girl Scouts to donate to local first responders and hospital employees. Contact your local troop for more information on how to do this.
