New pizza parlor from Oklahoma opening in north Fort Worth this month
A new pizza parlor is coming to the Alliance neighborhood in Fort Worth called Hideaway Pizza.
The new restaurant isn’t necessarily hidden away, or a secret. It’s a reference to the pizza spot’s first location off of Oklahoma State campus, which founders Richard and Marti Dermer named “Campus Hideaway” in 1957.
The new Fort Worth location is out in the open at 9800 N. Freeway, Fort Worth in the Alliance Town Center. They will officially open their doors on Monday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m.
Other North Texas Hideaway locations include Plano and McKinney. And this pizza chain is well established, with 24 locations across Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas.

What’s on the menu at Hideaway Pizza?
Hideaway Pizza doesn’t just offer pizza. They also sell salads, sandwiches and pastas.

- Starters include fried mushrooms, cheesy stuffed mushrooms, fried ravioli, fried pickles, garlic breads and wings.
- Guests can build their own pizza on thin or hand-tossed crust.
- Specialty pizzas include hamburger pizza, barbecue chicken, variations of meat-lovers, pesto chicken, alfredo meatball with bacon and Hawaiian.
- Sandwiches are not just Italian. Hideaway has chicken bacon ranch, ham and cheese, a turkey bacon club, meatball and Italian grinder sandwiches.
- They also have baked pastas like your typical lasagna, pesto chicken, alfredo, chicken bacon mac and cheese.
- For sweets, there are “pizza pan” cookies, root-beer floats and frozen lemonade pie.
