Two Arlington restaurants fail health inspections in mid-September report

Out of the 60 restaurant inspections conducted in Arlington between Sept. 13-18, two closed and three had to be reinspected.

Crispy’s Great Chicken and Seafood at 2440 E. Arkansas Lane failed Sept. 17 and Amira’s Mediterranean Cuisine at 2424 W. Division St. failed Sept. 16, according to city data. The reasons for the failures were not specified on the report and both will have to be reinspected.

Emerson South Collins retirement center scored 74 during its Sept. 17 review and will also have to be reinspected.

In Arlington inspections, a perfect score is 100. A restaurant with a score of 75 or less must be reinspected.

No perfect scores were reported in the latest report.

A score of 100 is a perfect score and 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Reinspections will be conducted for restaurants that score 75 or less. If serious health and sanitation violations are considered an imminent health hazard, the restaurant will be closed until the identified health hazard has been mitigated.
