West Freeway Taco Bell closes for health violations in latest Fort Worth inspections

One Fort Worth restaurant closed out of the 54 inspections conducted between Sept. 12-18.

Taco Bell at 3801 Valentine St., off of West Freeway, closed Sept. 17 for no hot water at its hand sinks and compartment sinks, according to city data compiled by the Star-Telegram.

None of the inspected restaurants received over 30 points; restaurants with scores over 30 are required to fix the worst violations immediately and clean up the rest within 48 hours. None of the restaurants had follow-up inspections.

The highest scores were Ashim’s Hibachi Grill on 424 Taylor St. with 26 and The Bearded Lady on 300 S. Main St. with 25.

Ashim’s Hibachi Grill had violations that included unprotected food from cross-contamination and unclean food contact surfaces. Unlabeled, potentially hazardous food, was a violation listed in the report for The Bearded Lady.

Three restaurants received perfect scores: a recently opened Chipotle at 5252 Golden Triangle Blvd., Lady Di’s Potatoes at 6432 Brentwood Stair Road and San Antonio Mexican Food and Home Cooking at 5693 Westcreek Drive.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within the city limits of Fort Worth for the week of Sept. 12th - 18th, 2021. Scores are based on a demerit system. When the total exceeds 30, the restaurant must take immediate corrective action on all identified critical violations, then has 48 hours to initiate corrective action on all other violations.
