What Martha Stewart had to say about Beth Dutton at ‘Dutton Ranch’ premiere
“Dutton Ranch” star Kelly Reilly revealed a surprising inspiration for Beth Dutton Tuesday night at the “Yellowstone” spinoff show’s premiere in New York City.
Reilly was in the middle of an interview with Glamour’s Jessica Radloff at Paramount+’s red carpet premiere for the show when Martha Stewart, who also walked the red carpet, came over to tell Reilly how much she admired her.
Read a transcript of the exchange below.
Radloff: “And we have Martha Stewart who is here to crash our interview!”
Stewart, to Reilly: “You are my idol.”
Reilly, to Stewart: “You are my idol!”
Radloff: “Martha, tell us what a big fan you are of Kelly and Beth Dutton.”
Stewart: “She is the badass of badasses, and you are so fabulous.”
Reilly: “I may have based my character partly on somebody...”
Stewart: “Oh, no, please!”
Reilly: “No, your confidence, and your beauty, and your inner fire, and your belief in yourself and your unapologetic ownership.”
There you have it — Beth Dutton was partly inspired by none other than Martha Stewart.
