Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker says she would ‘love’ to appear in ‘Landman’
Fort Worth’s top official wants to appear in Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman.”
Over its first two seasons, the Paramount+ series primarily filmed in and around Cowtown. The show has been renewed for a third go-around, which will begin production this summer.
In a recent interview with CBS Texas, Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker was asked about making a cameo in “Landman.”
“I feel like if I can play my cards right with Taylor, why wouldn’t I be a cameo as the mayor of Fort Worth?” Parker said. “Now, the question is, what do they get themselves into that requires a visit to the mayor’s office?”

Parker continued that she would “love” to appear in “Landman” and noted that several locals have been cast in the show.
In the season 2 premiere, Fort Worth city councilman Michael Crain and chef Jon Bonnell both appear as extras in a scene shot and set at the Bowie House hotel. A few episodes later, Kit Moncrief pops up in a scene set and filmed at Will Rogers Memorial Center.
Parker also commended Sheridan and 101 Studios for their commitment and investment in Fort Worth. She also noted that “Landman” and other Fort Worth-made productions like “Lioness” and “The Madison” serve as positive marketing for the city.
“I think we should all be thankful for what’s happening here in Fort Worth thanks to their team,” Parker said.

And sooner or later something’s got to break,” the show’s second season synopsis reads.
“Landman” stars Billy Bob Thornton, Sam Elliott, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Paulina Chávez, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Colm Feore and Mark Collie.
