Check out these ‘Landman’ locations during Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

The audience for “Landman” and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo likely overlap.

The annual event returns for its 129th edition on Friday, Jan. 16, and lasts until Feb. 7. Since 1896, the event celebrating Western culture, cowboys and agriculture has brought millions of people to Fort Worth from around the world.

There’s plenty to do and see, from daily rodeos and live music to cattle shows and merchandise galore. The Star-Telegram put together a guide for everything, from parking and tickets to live music and rodeo events.

“Landman” is primarily filmed in and around Fort Worth, which means that plenty of local landmarks appear in the show.

Here are a few “Landman” locations that stock show guests should visit while in Cowtown.

Patch Cafe

The local watering hole for oil workers has been seen several times throughout the show’s first two seasons.

While the restaurant is fictional, the set is located inside the former home of Dayne’s Craft Barbecue in west Fort Worth at 9840 Camp Bowie West Blvd. There are also plans to open a full-service restaurant inside the building.

JD’s Hamburgers and Margie’s Italian Gardens are located across the road from the set and have been seen in the background of the show.

TCU

In season 2, Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) is accepted into the Fort Worth university.

The interior and exterior of several buildings around campus have appeared in the show, including Colby Hall, Milton Daniel Hall, M.E. Sadler Hall and the Mary Wright Admission Center.

When the show filmed on campus last year, several actual TCU students and staff were cast as extras.

Cattlemen’s Steak House

The Stockyards-located restaurant has appeared a few times in season 2.

Since 1947, the eatery has been serving up beef cuts and sides at 2458 N. Main St. The restaurant recently underwent a series of multimillion-dollar renovations after it was purchased by “Landman” co-creator Taylor Sheridan and executive producer David Glasser.

Part of the renovations included an exclusive members-only dining and social club — The Cattlemen’s Club — in the restaurant’s basement.

Tommy’s house

Tommy’s (Billy Bob Thornton) house in the show is set in Midland, but the actual filming location is in north Fort Worth at 12035 Vista Ranch Way.

The 4,639 square-foot off-market house has an estimated value of $918,300, according to Zillow. Charlie’s (Guy Burnett) house is also in the same neighborhood at 1228 Meredith Creek Lane.

Another house seen in the show several times is Ariana’s (Paulina Chávez), which is located in Benbrook at 1103 Park Center St.

Bowie House

The Fort Worth hotel has been seen a few times in season 2 as an escape for Angela (Ali Larter) and Ainsley, and as the site of an important meeting led by Cami (Demi Moore) in the season premiere.

Located in the Cultural District at 3700 Camp Bowie Blvd., the hotel opened in 2023 and is just minutes from the Stock Show grounds. It was also the location for the 2025 Lone Star Film Festival Gala, which saw “Landman” cast member Sam Elliott receive the “Bill Paxton Achievement in Film Award.”

The Bowie House is also the hotel of choice for the “Landman” cast when they’re in town filming.
