Where to view the best Christmas light displays in Fort Worth

It’s December, which means it’s time for Christmas lights to brighten up local neighborhoods.

Looking at Christmas lights has become a holiday tradition for some families. It’s a free activity that is sure to spark some holiday joy.

Some homeowners chose to simply line the roof with the classic white lights, while others carefully cover every inch of their yard in twinkling reds and greens. And those who go all out draw crowds to see their shining displays.

So load up your family and grab a piping hot cup of hot cocoa. Here’s where you can see holiday light displays in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Holiday light displays in DFW

Tell Family Lights

  • 5016 Keating St, Fort Worth. 
  • Nov. 28 to Dec. 31. 
  • 97.5 radio to tune into music-synced light shows or listen on your phone. You can also vote or request for the next song. 
  • Sunday through Thursday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Turn off headlights and avoid blocking any driveways. 

Ryan Place

  • 2530 Ryan Place Drive, Fort Worth. 
  • Dec. 6 from noon until 9 p.m. and Dec. 7 from noon to 5 p.m. 
  • A candlelight tour of the five historic homes and neighborhood, which is also decorated for Christmas. This year, they will also feature a tour of Daggett Elementary school all lit up. 
  • Tickets are $30. Guests can purchase ahead of time online or at the door at St. John’s Anglican Church, 2401 College Avenue, Fort Worth.

Grinch House

  • 6215 Deloache Ave., Dallas. 
  • Begins daily at 7 p.m. 
  • Grinch- and Whoville-themed lawn light displays and character blow-ups. Everything is lit up: the house, trees and front yard. 
  • Park nearby and walk to the house to stroll through holiday displays. 

Daystar Christmas lights

  • 3901 Highway 121 in Bedford. 
  • Nov. 27 until Jan. 4. 
  • More than two million Christmas lights, mazes and photo opportunities with Santa. Santa will be at Daystar on Dec. 5 and 6 and Dec. 12 and 13. 
  • 6 to 11 p.m. 

Interlochen Christmas Lights

  • Enter Westwood Drive at Randol Mill Road.
  • Until Dec. 31. Starts at dark.
  • Visit website for the exact route and specific instructions.

Fort Worth neighborhoods famous for festive Christmas lights

Diamond Loch

  • “Down Dawn Drive, past Chartwell to Onyx and then on to the Holland entrance where visitors will proceed counter-clockwise and then exit back out of Holland,” according to Diamond Loch’s Facebook page.
  • Until Jan. 1., 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Glenbrook

  • Start on Brookside Court, Bedford.
  • Until Dec. 31, from 6 to 10 p.m.
  • Drive through the neighborhood to read “’Twas The Night Before Christmas.”

Fairmount

  • Beginning at 1100 Hemphill St.
  • Dec. 13, 5 to 8 p.m.
  • This decade-old tradition has homes in the Fairmont neighborhood lit up with Christmas cheer.

Red Brangus Trail

  • The streets of Red Brangus and Minhota in West Fork Ranch in Fort Worth.
  •  This whole street boasts light displays that are synced to music.
