See ‘Yellowstone’ star rip a fastball during first pitch at Texas Rangers game
“Yellowstone” star Cole Hauser let it rip at a Texas Rangers game over the weekend.
The 50-year-old actor threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Globe Life Field on Sunday, August 24. Hauser’s fastball proved to be good luck, as the Rangers went on to beat the Cleveland Guardians 5-0.
Dressed in a powder blue jersey, Hauser saddled up to the mound and fired the ball to home plate. The Rangers shared a video of the pitch on their Facebook page, which can be seen below.
Cole Hauser in North Texas
It’s no coincidence that Hauser was in North Texas to throw out the first pitch.
The actor has been shooting the new “Yellowstone” spinoff show “Rio Palo” in and around the region since mid-August. While “Rio Palo” is a working title, the series actually follows Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Hauser) after the fifth season of “Yellowstone.”
Not much is known about the plot of the spinoff, except that it follows Beth, Rip and their adopted son Carter (Finn Little).
Several casting notices have popped up for filming in cities such as Ferris, Boyd, Cleburne, Weatherford, Rio Vista, Fort Worth and Mineral Wells.
Some of the notices have mentioned scenes revolving around a rodeo, high school and visiting a prison. There was also a notice for a photo double for actor Juan Pablo Raba.
Paramount has yet to announce a premiere date for the spinoff, although it will likely release sometime in 2026.
