Fans can visit this ‘Landman’ cafe for one weekend only — but there’s a catch

The Patch Cafe is the local watering hole for “Landman” characters to grab a Michelob Ultra or scarf down a chicken fried steak.

While the Midland restaurant is fictional, the set is located in Fort Worth (9840 Camp Bowie West Blvd.) at the former home of Dayne’s Craft Barbecue. There are plans for an actual restaurant in the building, although those are still in the works.

For one weekend only, Paramount is giving “Landman” fans a chance to visit the Patch Cafe and order a drink.

Here’s what to know.

Production crews for “Landman” season 2 set up for filming at the Patch Cafe set at 9840 Camp Bowie West Blvd. on Friday, March 28, 2025.

Patch Cafe to open at San Diego Comic Con 2025

No, “Landman” is not opening up the Fort Worth set for visitors.

Instead, Paramount is recreating the Patch Cafe at an immersive fan experience at San Diego Comic-Con from July 23-27. The cafe set is just one of the activations Paramount is hosting at SDCC, along with experiences for shows like “Dexter: Resurrection,” “Mission: Impossible” and “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.”

Here’s a descriptor for what to expect at the “Landman” activation:

“Step into an authentic slice of Midland, Texas and kick back in a faithful recreation of the series’ favorite watering hole. Guests can order up signature drinks at the bar in a M-Tex souvenir mug.”

The interactive event is set inside the Happy Does bar in San Diego at 340 Fifth Ave. Anyone can attend the event, as no SDCC badge is required for entry.
