Keith Urban, Taylor Sheridan’s Fort Worth-filmed music show to premiere in fall
Taylor Sheridan’s music competition series starring Keith Urban will premiere this fall.
CBS announced this week that “The Road” will premiere on Sundays this fall in the 8 to 9 p.m. time slot. No official premiere date has been announced, only that the show will hit the airwaves in the fall.
“The Road” is described as a “backstage pass into the gritty and unforgiving life of a touring artist.”
The series follows emerging musicians as they open for a headlining superstar (Urban) at venues across the country. Each episode, will see the musicians competing to win over local fan bases to secure a spot in the next city and remain on the tour.
Grammy winner Gretchen Wilson will serve as “tour manager” on the show.
‘The Road’ in Fort Worth
Fort Worth was the first stop on “The Road” tour earlier this year.
Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall hosted a sold out show on March 2, followed by a concert at The Factory in Dallas on March 5. The series also filmed episodes in Tulsa, Memphis, Nashville and Oklahoma City, over March and April.
“The Road” comes from executive producers Blake Shelton, David C. Glasser, Lee Metzger, Sheridan and Urban.
